Christmas has a way of making me feel like a little kid - Always!
And I could not be any happier...
"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold,
everything is softer and more beautiful."
No matter where I may be for the season, I do go out of my way to look for some Christmas Cheers here and there... And also bring a few of my own to friends, family and some strangers, even... My way if sharing, giving back, and doing what I can - help where I can...
Note: Please do help me in helping the victims of the recent
Haiyan Typhoon.. Pls Read Info Here! Thank You.
This year will mark the 2nd year in a row I do not get to go home to Manila and spend it with the family... For a few different reasons, personal and otherwise, it just did not work out... Am saddened by this but at the same time, I accept it.. Will just make the most of it all... Of the circumstances...
No Matter What, I will have the Christmas spirits in me...
and Christmas will always be my most Fave time of the year!!

I was once told that to the Chinese, drawing the numbers "666" - is considered a Lucky thing.. So I was all smiles when this happened to be the number I drew at the Post Office this morning...
Sadly, it is not to be so for me... So far, nothing has been going my way... From my packages not arriving... To not being able to get my replacement credit card mailed out to me... To nit being able to get Lucky enough to order something online - though I thought I was being quite fast in ordering... And this n that in between that should have been simple enough but proving to be trying...
Oh well, not much else one can do if one is giving it their best right... This time around just need to SMILE and Accept the fact that some things are just out of my hands...
Later in the early Evening, decided to quit the work and the worrying been doung all day and relive the frustrations with a looong walk... Great Decision as it works for me each and everytime...

In honor of World AIDS Day, this past December 1st - Element Magazine unveiled their Visual AIDS Awareness Campaign. The magazine brings the message across with sexy photos of naked, very fit, toned bodies with their sensitive parts covered by tapes boasting important messages. Ingenious and Hot!!
The campaign is spotlights a total of 9 athletic models, both straight and gay men - not to sure who os who.. But who cares! Some of the notable personalities who bared all for the campaign are popular fitness model, Jason Chee; Mandopop singer, Hagen Troy; and Singapore's Manhunt International winner for 2013, Jason Tan.
Popular Asian Fitness Model, Jason Chee.
Mandopop Singer & Songwriter, Hagen Troy.
Singapore's 2013 Manhunt International Winner, Jason Tan
Am sure no longer Breaking News for most, Fave Olympic Diver's Coming Out story has been dominating my FB newsfeed - with SEXY photos to boot.. So it is just fitting to have him on our HUMP DAY entry, right?
Really though, did this come as a total surprise??? Not so much for me.. Have been a fan since the last two Olympics he has been in.. The last one he truly made a Splash... Coming of age and being soooo comfortable in his own skin... Literally, as he wears minuscule speedos at every meet... No Objection here!!! And call it "gaydar" or what not - there was just something about his posts that suggests it will be just a matter if tome till he comes out.. And here you go...
Honestly though, it matters not to me if he is Gay or Not.. He is a Talented Diver with a sparkling smile to boot .. So am already, and will always be, a Fan!
Am sure the news just doubled the number of fans
who would love to kiss him under the mistletoe this XMas!!!
The one that came more of a surprise for me is the news of Maria Bello coming out this week, too!
I have been a fan of hers for quite some time now too.. Always thought that she is one of the best out there.. Underused and soooo underrated... This woman can play Soft and Tough.., sexy or strong... Sophisticated or Trashy.. All with so much GUSTO! So, this is another case where one's sexual orientation does not matter much... Am A Fan Already!!!

December 1st is delegated as World AIDS Day....
Let us all stand with Leaders and Advocates around the World
in Taking Actions for an AIDS Free Generation!
Now, if all the artwork / adverts above did not get your attention, I give you this below:
That's Singaporean Fitness / Underwear Model Jason Chee..
Same one I had the chance taking a photo with in last month's Taiwan Pride
- though I did not know who he was then, you can be certain I know him now!!!
Today marks the official start of the Christmas Season for me... Not only do I get Giddy and Excited each time I see Christmas Decorations up, here and there, in my everyday journeys... I actually go out of my way to visit Fave Taipei spots that I know will not disappoint and have a beautiful display...
(Note: You can see more of my Christmas 2013 Snaps from everywhere by Clicking Here!)
The Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, in the Xinyi District, is by far my most fave place.. The are boasts one of the largest areas covered in Christmas Splendour, year after year!!! All the Shin Kong Department stores are fully decked in Christmas - from the window displays to the inner decors. The area boasts one of the biggest, if not the prettiest Christmas tree in Taipei. And Cathay United Bank, year after year, manages to thrill young and old alike with their whimsical Christmas Wonderland... This has been a popular area for picture taking for all, myself included!! So stay tuned for more photos to come...
Today also marks the day I set up my Christmas Tree...
No matter where I might be for this magical Day, I must have a Christmas tree...
This year I did not load up all the toys, as I did last year... Instead, I the time I started putting up the tree, I decided to go with a Rody and maruko-chan theme.. I have enough Premiums toys of these characters from both Hi*Life and Family Mart.. Plus Rody has been really making waves in Taiwan lately.. I even have tixs for an Enjoy Rody exhibition happening this month!!! Exciting!!!
So there you go.. If you did not know then, you MUST know by now,
I Love Christmas.. And am not ashamed to say so!!!
On a very SOMBER NOTE... it was reported today that Actor Paul Walker died from a tragic fiery car accident. He, along with a friend who was driving the car, both died from the accident. Mr Walker and friend were on their way to a Charity Event in Southern California, to benefit the Yolanda Typhoon Victims. A kind soul through the end - he will be missed. Mr Walker had just turned 40 - Truly, Gone Too Soon! I see postings on FB and Twitter from some of his friends and his previous co-stars - all of them are in shock like the rest of us fans... and all of them had nothing but kind words for this humble, honest, talented and kind man!
Rest In Peace Paul Walker!

aaaaaah, what a day..... nothing truly major went wrong but maybe today being Thanksgiving, everything felt more frustrating and trying.....
started last nite really... after babysitting a very sick Juju - had to rush to Carrefour to get more packing tape - still have a lot of mailings to do for today.... though it was raining I ran to Carrefour at 11:40PM - open 24 hours - Yes, but not last nite!!! For some reason they decided to be closed early last nite.... so I ran back home empty handed - in the rain!!!
Was about to jump in the shower when I realized there was no water.... Nothing!!! A bit from the kitchen sink - just enough to wash my face and brush my teeth - but nothing anywhere else.... too late to do anything I slept it all off....
This morning I woke up early - so I can run to Carrefour and get what I needed before the Postal Truck comes to pick up my mailings... still have a few to pack... Turned on the faucet in the bathroom, HOPING - and yes, we got some water back.... FREEZING WATER That is!!! the Hot Water Boiler is not getting enough water to warrant any to come out.... WAAAAH!!! Washed up with what I have and dealt with my work at hand... got my much needed packing tape... finsihed packing more goods to ship out... then it was back in the rain to deliver and ship my box to the International Courier.... and rushed back in time for the Postal Truck to come and pick up my mailings.... As you all know - waiting is not a virtue of mine - so I was sooooo frustrated when 2 hrs after the pick up time passed and they still have not come..... MORE WAAAAAH!!!
Eventually all got done... Mailings got picked up.... the rain stopped.... and the water pumped got fixed (Thanks Juju's Daddy for being such a Handy Man!)... all is well again.... and took a looong afternoon walk to get rid of all the frustrations out.... looked at some XMas displays.... sat and had coffee outside - and just watched happy people go by.... All the while thinking - all these things happening now much be life's little jokes on me.... and I know I could handle it all - with a SMILE even!!!
Then something wonderful happened, amidst all the Personal Messages/ Emails I was dealing throughout the day - I got one from a friend in The Philippines, Isabel Casas - enclosed is a photo of some beautiful Rosaries that she had picked up for me on her recent trip to the Holy Land... Without me asking for anything, and just casually knowing I collect Rosaries - she picked a few up for me. MUCH TO MY SURPRISE!!! This totally erased all the frustrations I felt since last night.... and the heavy heart becomes light as air once more....
This just proves what I've always known all along - that there is
ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BE THANKFUL FOR!!!

That time of the year again to give THANKS for all the BLESSINGS we have had in our lives the whole year through.... well, in my opinion, we do not need a Holiday to give thanks, nor do we need to search hard for things to be THANKFUL for... everyday we wake up to another day of possibilities is enough to be THANKFUL for.... still, I suppose, it is good to have this Holiday to remind all that we do need to be THANKFUL and GIVE THANKS where they are due - at least one day of the year!
So THANK YOU and HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!!! Also, today being the first day of Hanukkah - I wish you a HAPPY HANUKKAH, too!!!
Reflecting, the year has been good... no major incidents.... no major heartaches.... and though I know now that I will not be able to go to Manila for Christmas and New Year, as I do each and every year - I am still THANKFUL.... will just make the most of things in my own way... on my own.... There will always be a next year....

Since it is the Hump Day before Thanksgiving, it is just right to give Thanks where it's due -
so, here goes a few:
Thanks NBC for bringing Dracula back on the screen... and of course, casting Jonathan Rhys Meyers as the Hypnotic Count.. Perfect Sexy!!!
Thanks Tom Daley for making us feel the Summer Heat, in any season!!!
Thanks to Arena Homme magazine for Having Becks grace us with his Coolness/Hotness
on their Fall/Winter issue.
And Finally, Thanks the Powers That Be behind The Vampire Diaries... Possibly the most Good Looking cast on TV - even the Guest Stars are Hot!!!
Most Especially, Ian Somerhalder, of course!!
Am sure you will agree, one look from hom and you are weak in the knees!!
And if you get tired of his smoldering eyes... You can always stare at his smoking bod!!!
