Fred Perry X Bradley Wiggins

Yep, that's right... MOD English Cyclist & 2012's Le Tour De France winner, Bradley Wiggins, collaborates with FAVE brand Fred Perry for some very Limited Edition cycling shirts...

The resulting pique shirts - from the collaboration between the popular clothing design team and the first ever Brit to win Le Tour de France - are really cool looking and would be great additions to anyone's stylishly & sporty closet!

WAAAAAAAAAH!!!  How could I have not known about this???  

For Fred Perry's 60th Anniversary - the company collaborated with Be@rbrick and issued a  REALLY COOL & FUN  COMMEMORATIVE Be@rbrick....    and am soooooo SAD  I totally missed out..... BOO HOO....

 Just happened upon it while BLOG surfing to find out more INFO on the Be@rbricks I do have - and I was HYPNOTIZED!!!!   Not quite sure what the particulars are though, as the BLOG did not say much....  so any INFO would be appreciated guys....  and of course, any lead as to how I can add this to my collection would be GREAT!!!

Celebrities in Fred Perry

As if I had nothing else better to do...LOL!!! I was going though my photos from the different cities in Italy visited and was reminded how many people we came across with sporting Fred Perry - then out of the blue, I decided to GOOGLE celebrities in one of my most fave clothing line, Fred Perry.... I mean I have always had in my files the photos of Zac Efron for his cover interview with Nylon magazine & Anderson Cooper biking about with a buddy of his in matching shirts by one of my fave designers.... and I have always been aware that a personal fave, Paul Weller (formerly of The Style Council) has always been a fan and even had his own Limited Edition Shirt for Fred Perry... see photo below...Then the Amy Winehouse's collection debuted.... and I saw a German film a few months back, where the leads wore mostly Fred Perry... and even most recently, the Oct issue of GQ magazine with hottie, Ryan Reynolds on the cover, had him also sporting Fred Perry.... so I got more intrigued to see who else have sported them on the scene -- and of course, there's been many.... I compiled a photo collage of some of the more famous ones below... actors, singers, tennis ace, director, vampire, CNN star reporter, and even a Filipino actor/idol.... so you see, am in GREAT COMPANY here.... too bad i do not have their CLOTHING BUDGET! hahahahaha...

Love her or Hate her, one thing is certain this fall - you will go Ga Ga over Amy Winehouse's designs for Fred Perry.... They have just been unveiled as part of the Fred Perry Women's Fall Collection.... and La Winehouse even graced her and Perry fans alike with a mini gig on Oct. 21st, in London to help Debut the capsule collection... Of Course, she sported one of the many designs.....

This mini collectiondesigned by Amy Winehouse is said to include about 17 pieces of apparel and accessories. The Collaboration is expected to push Fred Perry womenswear to a new space on the fashion stage, one that will definitely, confronts expectations and stretches conventional views of the brand - For Sure!

It is no secret, her love for Fred Perry, as in numerous occasions she has sported the clothing giant's many designs... But she did voice out at one point that for most, she was too small to fit into his clothes, which started at a size 8. She wears a UK size 6, you see (one size bigger than a US 0) -- so to remedy this, she decided to expand her collection line for Fred Perry to include size 6, for skinny girls like her.

I actually do like some of her designs for Fred Perry.... am surprised and amazed.... and again, if you are not a big fan of Amy - just imagine her designs on yourself, or some of the models around and am sure, you too, will love the line....

So now, you can count Miss Winehouse, as one of the Ultra Cool Designers for Fred Perry, too!

This shot taken during my recent Manila Trip.... Fred Perry @ The Atrium in MegaMall just finished doing their new window display.... and it works for me.... Fun & Stylish, as always.... no wonder they always stay as one of my all time FAVES!!!

NOTE: There are three COOL Fred Perry locations in Manila - each one STAFFED with some of the BEST and FRIENDLIEST people you will ever meet... and not all shops carries the same items so it is ALWAYS worth it to check out all three locations:

My Fred, My Style

Okay, it is not even a SECRET anymore how am SOOOOOO into Fred Perry - all of it.... clothing, bags, caps, shoes - basically anything and everything.... Cannot even remember how long I ahve been a FAN - guess you can palce the blame on Peter Weller (Style Council) and all those VESPA riders in the MOD 80's... Just something about the clothing -Nope, not just the COOL LAUREL LOGO - has to be the fact that all thier designs are sleek, not too dressy but certainly-very stylish, and for the most part, fits my TASTE JUST RIGHT!!!

Anyway, right now they are running a little FUN thing called: The Fred Perry Heritage Stories... a series of stories about the brands many labels.... and history, of course.... after all they have been around for 100 Years!!!! As an added BONUS - there is a section where Fans from all over the world can submit their own Fred Perry Stories.... and photo.... TOO COOL!!!

Am enjoying reading and seeing other Fred Perry fans snippets about the brand... their memories of the clothing - or memories of wearing them.....
