UniQlo X Be@rbricks

Another heavenly collaboration in my book!!!  It was just a matter of time for this collaboration, I say...  makes sense...  both popular household n global brands...  both Japanese...  and here they are... Now if I can just get my hands on them...

Shanghai UniQlo were the first to offer them ...  word is that Hong Kong will get them the 20th of this month with Bearbricks to boot!!!  Then Malaysia the month after...  waaaah, what about Taiwan???

Spring has Sprung!!

Just about Chinese New Year here so really should still be In the midst of Winter for us here in Taipei.. But Spring has Sprung!!!

It is apparent in the Sakura blooms popping out all over the city... The fresh breeze in the air... The smiles on the people's faces enjoying the Sunny Days!

And of course, in the way the people are dressed... And one of the main Season Dictator of all, UniQlo... Their shop windows and mannequins are all blooming in pastel greens and pinks... And bright as a daisy yellow hues... And am Living it All!!! After all, Spring does bring Hopes of brighter Tomorrows... :)

UNIQLO Field Blouson

Loving this new UNIQLO acquisition of ours - Men's Field Blouson!  

 

This one was actually purchased in UniQlo, Philippines - did not see it in Taiwan's UniQlo shops at all over the Holidays - so am quite Happy we were able to venture to their shops in Manila....   The style is so versatile - works with casual clothing, as well as, semi-formal look.   The jacket comes in 4 color variations - Black, Beige, Orange and Blue....  it was a toss up between Orange (seemingly the HOT COLOR right now) and the Blue - a striking shade of Royal Blue.  The latter won and am satisfied with the choice as in this shade - it becomes a classic piece, to be worn for many Winter/Spring Seasons to come....

Mabuhay UniQlo

Japan 's Hot Clothing Franchise comes to Manila... And it is very much welcomed!!!  Located on the 2nd floor of The Mall Of Asia - the retail space allocated to the shop is quite biiig... rivals/comparable to the ones I ahve seen here in Taipei and even in Bangkok....  lots of fun offerings... and at the moment - their tees are averaging much cheaper than the SALE Prices here in Taiwan, at least by Php60 each tee...  According to an employee, when I inquired, the current prices are INITIAL SALE PRICES and will go up to their regular retail prices soon....  so RUN and GRAB a tee or two - loads of styles to choose from:  DC COMICS, SNOOPY, Hello Kitty, COKE, One Piece, Beatles, EVANGELION... and my personal fave, JP BRAND TEES....

As with the other countries, Local Celebrities are used to promote the cool lines - Philippines uses Premiere Actress Iza Calzado, all around entertainer Nikki Gil, and the one that makes me smile,  celebrity athlete Chris Tiu....  see photos below....

The Shop takes up quite a biiig space....  can RIVAL those UniQlos in Bangkok and Taipei....

Need some FUN Tees - run to the nearest UNIQLO or find someone who can get them for you.....  the last two years since UNIQLO opened up in Taipei - the brand has consistently served up a variety of Tees that are very much worth checking out... and taking home.....  

From statement Tees...  to Music Legends (Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, etc)...  to household POP Icons (Hello Kitty, Barbie, Disney, etc.)...  to COMIC friends (Snoopy, Marvel Heroes,  DC COMICS Heroes)...    and to the ones that catches my eyes all the time, MANGA collaboration ones (One Piece, Transformers, Galaxy 999,  etc)....  

FAVE Taiwanese Idol/Hottie sports  WARHOL's Campbell Sour Tee...

UNIQLO does NARUTO

Just past by Taipei's UNIQLO shop - I swear this place changes almost every month... at least each and everytime I pass by.... in 4 months, I stopped by 3 times and each time, it was a totally different collection.... SO FAST, SO FUN!!!For Spring time, the biggest thing they are pushing are the NARUTO collection of tees... lots of designs to choose from... and judging by the shoppers baskets that I witnessed, the collection is a HIT here in Taipei...

...just way too cold.....

PHOTO: Wetness & Gloom Greets Me Back to the City!

2nd nite back in Taipei - where it is just waaaaay too cold.... yesterday it was wet & gloomy.... at least today it was clear, albeit, still freezing cold!!! Have caught a bit of a cold - must be the weather change as it was still warm, and at times HOT in Manila - where I spent the Holidays.... hoping I can get over all this and get into the groove of things Fast...

Tonite, after an appointment, decided to take in the XMas Wonders of the Warner Viewshow Area.... always great for XMas displays and lightings.... it was really nice just walking about, window shopping and enjoying the last of the XMas displays before they are all taken down...NIGHT STROLL PHOTOS HERE

Took a couple of hours break from "JEWEL WATCH" today - Liya, Jason (both up from Kaohsiung) & I decided to go to WarnerViewshow area, to have lunch at Burger King, check out what's playing at the Cineplex, and of course, try to check out the newly opened UNIQLO....

Well, we were too late for any of the movies we wanted to see... either already started or SOLD OUT.... and the next scheduled showings were just much too late - have to go back and see Jewel and bring food to her parents, too.... So we decided to just have our Burger King lunch... YUMMY!!! Of course, I had my Chicken Sandwich with Cheese.... and even got to try their Brownie Cubes Topped with Ice Cream....

Before heading back home, we walked by the NEWLY Opened UNIQLO Shop in Taipei.... This Japanese based clothing boutique' Grand Opening has been much anticipated by soooo many Taiwanese... so we knew it will be like a MADHOUSE.... well, that's an understatement.... it was soooooooo CROWDED!! Long lines from all point of entries - LOL!!! Spoke to some of the people there, and it seems some of them even spent a whole nite in line just to be sure get in as the shop first opens...OMG!!! Well, as much as it would have been FUN to get in and take photos for the BLOG, 3 hours of my time to waste in line was just not worth it.... indeed!!!

So instead, we took the bus back home - so I can get a bit of work done... and everyone else can prepare FOOD and more stuff for the nighttime Jewel visit.... which we did by 7PM... just in time to have dessert with Lyn & Shaun... then see Jewel by 8PM.... even Cousin Tori came to see Jewel tonite!!! Jewel is doing fine.... she was actually getting some Vitamin Rays - so she looks as if she is in a TANNING BOOTH!!! LOLs!!! We all left the hospital about 9:30Pm and walked the long way home... a good 30/40 mins walk....

Happy 1st of October Everyone!!!

Everything is going by too fast... it is both AMAZING & SCARY!!!

Since coming back from the Europe trip, things have been CRAZY HECTIC on my side of the world.... catching up with work - nothing new!; dealing with a couple of typhoon and the constant rain; dealing with more family troubles; and just about everything else on the home front.... and here we are, Oct 1st already!!! 85 days before XMAS!!! 3 more months before the end of the year!!! WHOAH, where have all the time gone....

October is proving to be even more hectic with the impending arrival of Lyn & Shaun's first baby.... Lyn is due on the 2nd so basically, that means anytime now we could all be rushing to the hospital for delivery... an exciting time for all... with the whole Wu clan due to come up from down south to help in during the first few days....Then come 11th of Oct., I should be flying off again to Manila - to take care of personal & familial matters.... REALLY MUST DO STUFF - before the end of the year....In between, I am looking forward to the Grand Opening of UNIQLO, Taipei on the 7th of this month.... hoping to see EAT*PRAY*LOVE..... and catching up with GLEE, the rest of Season 1.... and of course, HALLOWEEN!!!
