Michael Phelps X Louis Vuitton

Fresh from his triumphant stint at the London 2012 Olympics, where he became the most decorated Olympian of all time - 22 Medals Total! - Swimmer Michael Phelps joins the likes of Bono, Sean Connery, Angelina Jolie, etc in endorsing the French Luxury Brand, Louis Vuitton....

27-year-old Michael Phelps was shot by celebrated fashion and portrait photographer Annie Leibovtiz in a bath tub - swimming trunks and goggles, of course! Strewn at his sideis  a bath towel and Louis Vuitton tote.
2nd image has Mr. Phelps chatting to Larissa Latynina, the former Soviet gymnast who, before he - no pun intented - lapped her, was the most decorated Olympian with 18 medals.
HAPPY HUMP DAY ALL!!!

Madagascar Scare

Last night, Juju and I were LUCKY to get VIP passes to see the Press Premiere of the animated film, Madagascar... Venue was in the chi chi BREEZE MALL... Such a nice place so, though the event was not till 6:30PM, I decided for me and Juju to get there earlier.. For some window shopping and dinner.,,

All was going great... We were having a lot of fun... Running around the mall, window shopping - loving the new Louis Vuitton window, and dindin at MOS... Then the event came and we were both excited... The minute they turned on the spotlight, Juju was instantly giddy and clapping... Super delighted!

But all that changed as soon as entertainers dressed in Penguin and Lion costumes came out... Juju screamed and cried out... She was sooooo scared of them... Could not even look at them... She spent most of the time with her back turned, just resting them on my shoulders...
Later at the movies, it was a different story... She was soooo excited seeing so many other kids, she wanted to just get up, get around and play with them.. Of course, this is not to be so she ended up crying and acting up - for not getting to do what she wanted.. Halfway through the movie I had to get her out of there or piss everyone off... Haiiiis...

So like most Animated films, there is a lesson to be learned... And I learned mine - which is to wait another year before I take Juju to the movies again... LOL...

Christy Turlington for Louis Vuitton

Italy, like America, Japan & The Philippines, runs rampant with giant billboards ads - one cannot miss them at all.... One after another celebrities and supermodels doing their sexiest bit for the top luxury brand products' new ad campaigns: Madonna for Dolce & Gabbana, Scarlett Johanssen for MANGO, Christian Ronaldo & his Abs for Armani; Juliannne Moore for BVULGARI & my FAVE one at the moment: Christy Turlington (along with a few other well known models) for Louis Vuitton Fall & Winter Collection...
Christy along with Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, and a handful others (just about everyone in George Michael's FREEDOM Music Video), coined the phrase SUPERMODELS back in the late 80's/early 90's... but Christy is the one I liked most.... not only for her great looks and style but also, she was such a great fixture in the Bay Area where I grew up.... even now, she has done a few things, for the Bay Area - active in some causes plus invested on a few businesses....
And from these photos - her classic beauty has not fade one bit.... just had to share....

Murakami X LV: Cosmic Blossom Collection

Cosmic Blossom Collection is the newest line in produced by Louis Vuitton in collaboration with a fave Japanese artist, Takashi Murakami.

I happen upon the Louis Vuitton window at Taipei's Breeze Center, right after seeing Iron Man 2... at first I was not totally IMPRESSED, as the window looked to HOT PINK for my taste... but as I got closer, I realised a familiar art adorning the purses - yes, they are by Murakami... so far I have only seen the bandannas (in 4 different designs) , as well as, purses and wallets in purplelish blue & reddish pinks... Nice collection, but I long for something similar to the very first collection - signature brown with the added Murakami touches... and who do I talk to and convince to reissue the Murakami Toys - Puti Panda in particular....

Oh Me, Oh My....

Just came across this photo which is a fashion editorial for some Men's Fashion Magazine and I was stumped... can anyman (everyday or even the oh - so - trendy ones) really wear these???

Though they are reminiscent of some of the things I dared to wear in the 80's, am not sure that I really buy into these once again... well, maybe if they are marketed to come with the male models... LOLS!!!
