It's March!!!

Going Green For March..  Why Not!!!

I can only hope that this month will be good..  So far, not so...  Starting the month with Allergies - i haven't had it this bad in a loooon time...  So bad that I have caugt a headcold in the process..  Boo Hoo..  And adding to the headcold are a few minor headaches brought on by work and little and not so little matters that needs dealing with...

Yes, so far the month is already testing my patience and it is only the 2nd!!!  Lol

On a good note, I did have a little fun yesterday, the 1st of March...  Because of my headcold I was pretty much at home the whole day...  Then, not to go out of my wits, decided to let my feet do the walking and take me wherever!!!

Ended up in the XinYi District area and had the pleasure is seeing the Panda installation all over Taipei's City Hall..  Drawing quite a crowd, one has to line up for every single panda on display - that is if you want to pose ans snap a shot with the critters...

Also had the pleasure of running into Stephanie Sun's Promotional

CD Debut appearance at the Warner Village area..  

Got to hear her sing!  She has such a lovely voice, it has been a while since I heard her last..  

Truly a Welcomed Surprise!!!

Looooong Days!!!

Everyday ON THE GO for me this week... Aside from the daily grind- house and work and baby sitting Juju, i was actually able to SQUEEZE a few more things..., Lunches at Gordon Birsch with Juliana... Plus Outback with Juju and family..,, Catch SAVAGES on the big screen... And even took in some oh the Fashion's Night Out Festivities ( see previous post)..... Whew!

Sept. 6th: Treating Juju and Todd for some McDonalds...

Sept 7th:  Steaks for lunch at the OUTBACK!!!

Then took in the MAYDAY Exhibition once more....

 

and capped off the night riding Miramar's Taipei Eye!

 

Sept 9th: Dinner @ Mitsukoshi with Juju, Todd, and Tori... 

even COLDSTONE Ice Cream

(Peanut Butter and Chocolate for me - YUMMY!!!) for dessert!!!

Next week will be just as Busy as i will be off to Korea with The Wus for a Surprise 4 day trip!!!

Fashion's Night Out X Taipei

It is that time of the year once more where, fashion conscious, and not-so, celebrates and shops till the late hours of the nite... All for a Great Cause!!!

In Taipei, the event sponsored by VOGUE Taiwan magazine, gets a week long celebration in Taipei... And another week more down south, Kaohsiung. Since late last week, VOGUE set up various displays all over the Warner Viewshow area promoting the event.... A trailer truck all decked out is parked by the NEO 19 building that entices and invites everyone to join in on the fun and help spread the word online interactively via Facebook.... Had the pleasure to have been asked to participate, as well....

In Taipei, everything culminates tonight with a Fashion Show Event at 6PM in the same area... More coverage later...

Sunday, Sweet Sunday

Got up this morning at almost 9AM already... It was a sweet slumber, I suppose... Cleaned up a bit... Had my coffee... Then it was time for church...

Still reveling on the Summer Sun, I wore my summer colors... Armed with my Hat and glasses, (not to mention an umbrella) I set off in the midday sun, heady to Sunday Mass...

After mass, I headed off to XiMenDing to possibly catch a film or if there is any star gazing to be done... No movies(way too crowded!)... But did get to enjoy a couple of songs from Fish... She is out promoting her brand new CD... Not a personal fave, but nonetheless, entertaining...

Still, it was too hot to just stand or walk around, i continued my journey to the Warner Viewshow/Mitsukoshi area... Got there just in time to catch the next showing of Total Recall - which was pure high energy treat of a movie...   Kate Beckinsale more than filled Sharon Stone's shoes... she KICKED ASS!!!

Satisfied from the movie, I just went on to have my dinner then head on back home... Did have a minor incident during dinner but nothing that I could not handle - in my broken Chinese even! But am completely over it and refuse to even give it another second of my precious time... :)

So overall, it was a Sweet Sunday! Nitey nyt All!

A Brand New Week... a Brand New Month.... I suppose am off to a good start already as the last few days, I have had little things catch my attention/come my way that makes me SMILE... take my MIND OFF stressful matters - even for a tad bit...

First of all, I got to end April with two relaxingly FUN days.... On the 29th was a very long lunch with Juliana at Capricciosa - yes, a new resto for us to try and enjoy very much... not forgetting that the main FUN part of the get together is always the looooong chats....

The on the 30th, I had a great time seeing THOR, even on my own... and spending a bit of time people watching at Warner Viewshow - it was the weekend, so it is always crowded with shoppers, strollers, hawkers, and street performers...

and then Sunday, the 1st day of May, was just the usual Sunday for me.... attended MASS... feasted on Filipino food - lots of it, really.... and later in the evening - relaxed and enjoyed the Water Massage area of our local pool...even swam for 40 mins - now that was good, indeed....

Of course, there is always work... so in between I do all that... it does not get any easier... and with the way things are: the economy and the NEED for extra $$$ for MOM's Medical Expenses and Meds, it gets frustrating, scary, and stressful... but as always, I just try to take things one day at a time... praying and hoping that all will always work out just right... never losing hope....

and today was extra SPECIAL for me...as the woman at my neighborhood HI*LIFE shop, gave me not just two stickers (due to me for the coffee that I bought) but 5, yes 5 stickers... enough to redeem for another one.... and so now I have the first 3 of the NEW Jimmy Liao be@rbrick collection!!! This woman/clerk is also the one that makes sure I get to complete the sets of whatever Premium Program they are pushing that am collecting.... so am ALWAYS very much APPRECIATIVE....

and the BEST part, when I asked her why she was giving me 5 stickers, instead of the 2 due to me - she replied with: "...just because I find your smile always sweet and genuine... and I see such joy you get in collecting these little things..." WHOAH!!! I BLUSHED right there and then... even felt my face get hot and turn apple red... I was TRULY touched, and this episode just made the whole collection even more SPECIAL to me.... 2nd nite back in Taipei - where it is just waaaaay too cold.... yesterday it was wet & gloomy.... at least today it was clear, albeit, still freezing cold!!! Have caught a bit of a cold - must be the weather change as it was still warm, and at times HOT in Manila - where I spent the Holidays.... hoping I can get over all this and get into the groove of things Fast...

Tonite, after an appointment, decided to take in the XMas Wonders of the Warner Viewshow Area.... always great for XMas displays and lightings.... it was really nice just walking about, window shopping and enjoying the last of the XMas displays before they are all taken down...NIGHT STROLL PHOTOS HERE

chillin' @ chili's

Had a LOVELY fun time at my Nov 1st lunch with Juliana @ Chili's, in the Warner Viewshow area - a themed resto from the Southwest of the good ol' USA... it did not disappoint - it was as TASTY as I was already imagining/dreaming/salivating over everything tht is to be, since the weekend prior to the lunch date.... I SWEAR! (NOTE: now that Juliana is back being a full time working gal - scheduling a lunch get-together becomes tricky once more... but we managed somehow - hehehehehe )
We did not overdo the ordering - as we know the servings are quite big.... we shared a Nachos Platter... A Bacon Cheeseburger.... Bottomless Ice Teas... and the creme de la creme: a Chocolate Marvel for dessert.... this dessert was HEAVENLY - chocolate cake, with creamy chocolate fudge filling inside and topped off with vanilla ice cream covered with hardened chocolate shell.... YUMMY!!! TASTES of the SOUTHWEST, INDEED!!!We were accompanied by three of my Bearbircks - of course!!! Just to add some fun to the day - especially when taking photos.... plus, it gives others something fun to see and talk about, too.... LOL... also, had the pleasure of being served by Jeff, a nice young boy from my Gym.... and the other added pleasant surprise is my Halloween Gift from Juliana - a commemorative, limited edition, 7-11 OPEN chan iCASH card
