Another heavenly collaboration in my book!!!  It was just a matter of time for this collaboration, I say...  makes sense...  both popular household n global brands...  both Japanese...  and here they are... Now if I can just get my hands on them...

Shanghai UniQlo were the first to offer them ...  word is that Hong Kong will get them the 20th of this month with Bearbricks to boot!!!  Then Malaysia the month after...  waaaah, what about Taiwan???

For Fred Perry's 60th Anniversary - the company collaborated with Be@rbrick and issued a  REALLY COOL & FUN  COMMEMORATIVE Be@rbrick....    and am soooooo SAD  I totally missed out..... BOO HOO....

 Just happened upon it while BLOG surfing to find out more INFO on the Be@rbricks I do have - and I was HYPNOTIZED!!!!   Not quite sure what the particulars are though, as the BLOG did not say much....  so any INFO would be appreciated guys....  and of course, any lead as to how I can add this to my collection would be GREAT!!!

well, no real photos yet but just from the newest announcement regarding the lines for Series 23 - coming out Dec of this year - I am pretty sure am IN TROUBLE once more.... Real Steel, RUNE, Andy Warhol, - just to name a few..... they all spell EXCITING to me....

and I sure could use a bit of excitement today as most of the day was spent sleeping from this terrible cold am having now....  once again Fatigue, Frustrations and everything else has caught up with me....   and with the spirits really low, a cold has struck me...

Okay... am behind on this Be@rbrick News as well, am sure... but just in case, here goes... SERIES 22 has been announced and revealed a few months back, and I believe they have started popping up here and there as the release date was the end of June....

Awesomeness if you ask me, though I need to be good so am going after the following only: FLAG, Pirates of the Caribbean, Cars2, & Green Lantern - of course! I am tempted by that UNO and the CUTE clown looking bear, too though.... MUST RESIST!!!

and now, even the special SECRET ones have been revealed, too... OH BOY!!! CHECK THEM OUT!!! SECRET SPECIALS

Now this is a TOUGH ONE!!! Forget what I want - how do you get them? and at what cost? waaaaah...... (Sue, are you reading/listening???) I really would love three of them, APE (multicolored camou), Boy of London (Black one with BOY print) & Happy Socks (whimsical one with the colorful striped Socks) - they will all fit in nicely with my Designer Bearbrick Collection....

The recent trek to Monster Gear with Juliana (June 16th) got me all "googley eyes" again about one of my Obsessions in Life - Be@rbricks... We went and picked up the latest TOKIDOKI be@rbrick release - which brings mine up to 6 total!!!While there, I also got to see the soon to be released SERIES 22 LINE UP, from Japan Medicom Toys this June 2011.... another cool collection with entries from DC Comics' Green Lantern, Pirates of the Carribean (regular version pictured & a Mystery Special one), Disney's Cars 2, UNO the game, and the Japanese anime Black Rock Shooter - to name a few... here's the shot of the line up:

Be@rbick X Jimmy Liao X 9 : Part II

WHOA!!!! Today is the first day that the 2nd Set of this Brand New Premium Bearbrick Collection for Hi*Life came out - and am soooo HAPPY to say - I was able to get all three already.... YES!!! These guys are just as CUTE as the first three I had blogged about recently....I was able to collect enough stickers for all three Jimmy Liao designed Bearbricks (30 stickers total!) - with the help of a few people, I have to admit:
-The Hi*Life shop girl who gives me a little extra whenever I shop... be it that she likes me or out of pity, matters not, am most appreciative.... Needless to say, I shop mostly when she is there...
-To Juliana for letting me know that a faster way than drinking coffee each day to get the stickers is to buy a certain brand of Cold Tea Drink... 4 bottles gets one 5 stickers!!! 3 more than if one gets a cup of coffee and a sandwich.... YES AGAIN!!!
-and of course, those who did not want their stickers and just threw them away in places I was able to find them!!! LOL..... Now on to collecting stickers for the last 3!!! Hahahahahahaha.....

A Brand New Week... a Brand New Month.... I suppose am off to a good start already as the last few days, I have had little things catch my attention/come my way that makes me SMILE... take my MIND OFF stressful matters - even for a tad bit...

First of all, I got to end April with two relaxingly FUN days.... On the 29th was a very long lunch with Juliana at Capricciosa - yes, a new resto for us to try and enjoy very much... not forgetting that the main FUN part of the get together is always the looooong chats....

The on the 30th, I had a great time seeing THOR, even on my own... and spending a bit of time people watching at Warner Viewshow - it was the weekend, so it is always crowded with shoppers, strollers, hawkers, and street performers...

and then Sunday, the 1st day of May, was just the usual Sunday for me.... attended MASS... feasted on Filipino food - lots of it, really.... and later in the evening - relaxed and enjoyed the Water Massage area of our local pool...even swam for 40 mins - now that was good, indeed....

Of course, there is always work... so in between I do all that... it does not get any easier... and with the way things are: the economy and the NEED for extra $$$ for MOM's Medical Expenses and Meds, it gets frustrating, scary, and stressful... but as always, I just try to take things one day at a time... praying and hoping that all will always work out just right... never losing hope....

and today was extra SPECIAL for me...as the woman at my neighborhood HI*LIFE shop, gave me not just two stickers (due to me for the coffee that I bought) but 5, yes 5 stickers... enough to redeem for another one.... and so now I have the first 3 of the NEW Jimmy Liao be@rbrick collection!!! This woman/clerk is also the one that makes sure I get to complete the sets of whatever Premium Program they are pushing that am collecting.... so am ALWAYS very much APPRECIATIVE....

and the BEST part, when I asked her why she was giving me 5 stickers, instead of the 2 due to me - she replied with: "...just because I find your smile always sweet and genuine... and I see such joy you get in collecting these little things..." WHOAH!!! I BLUSHED right there and then... even felt my face get hot and turn apple red... I was TRULY touched, and this episode just made the whole collection even more SPECIAL to me.... By Popular Demand, (am sure not just by me - LOL!) Hi*Life once again has teamed up with Jimmy Liao for it's newest Premium Toy offerings.... The success and popularity of last year's First 6 Offerings, made way for this year's 2nd wave... and this time around there are, not just 6, but 9 CUTEST bearbricks representing various characters from Jimmy Liao's famous books/illustrations...

This year, the changes in the program will prove to make it a bit tougher to collect them... unless you go by the AUCTION WAY (take note SUE! hehehehehehehehe)....
-FIRST: one needs to spend NT$60 now to get a Sticker, last year was just NT$49 for each sticker.... one needs a total of 25 stickers to get one Premium Toy or the option of 10 stickers and an additional NT$49 for one...
-SECOND: 2 1/2 weeks 3 of the 9 designs will be offered... so if you MISS OUT your chances on the each time period - you are OUT OF LUCK....
-THIRD: and the TOUGHEST CHANGE of all... these time around, the bearbricks are packaged in BLIND BOXES - so not a chance in choosing each one.... you really need to take your chances.... WAAAAAH!!!!

Friday lunch with Juliana today... at first it was going to be just a Burger King kind of lunch, which would have been fine with me, too - but we decided to go all out and have it at Chili's instead.... Appetizer Galore, BBQ Burger & and that oh-so-yummy "Molten Chocolate Cake".... Needless to say I was soooooo FULL right after...Of course, a get together catch up lunch would not be the same without a few Bearbricks in attendance, including my two new ones: Pink Panther & Metallic Rainbow Open Range...

Boy, Oh Boy!!!

Series 21 of my favorite Bearbricks have been announced - Photo and all... and I can see am in for a lot of trouble once more.... besides the obvious: Flag, Batman, Barbie, Tron, there are also too many other cuties to ponder/pine over once more - and add to my collection..... haiiis it will be another Bearbrick XMas - for sure!!!!

The Week In Review!

This was a truly just a SO-SO week for me.... nothing too exciting, nothing too dramatic happened, and best of all, not sooo much drama.... well, if pay attention to my Half Brother's drama - then there is... but I choose to Ignore it... so there!!!

Johnny was going to come up this week , and I was looking forward to it, as we would have gone to see the FLORA EXPO for the day... it did not happen much to my disappointment... maybe the end of the month, instead..... Hopefully.... but I did get to check out, from the outside looking in, a few of the installations a block away from the church I go to.... not to mention by the river where I run, what I could see always beckon for me to come in already... LOL...

So most of the week was spent working.... tidying up as I have to take that once a month trip again tomorrow.... With the lunch and dinner breaks spent at Jewel's home: helping out, playing with Jewel, and giving Lyn a bit of a break from taking care of her.... LOL.... such a biiiig responsibility.... really not for the faint hearted..... Of course, kids are Great when they are awake and playful... or just been fed.... but, Boy-Oh-Boy, when they are Hungry... or just pooped... or can't get their groove sleeping - totally a different matter..... hahahahaha I gotta hand it to the FULL TIME Moms who can truly take in the Bad with the Good....The weather's been off and on... so running is a trying thing - was only able to run by the river a couple of times this week.... still, thankful there is always the Gym.... and of course, Blogging.... truly a stress reliever.....

it is KOOKY, I know but one of the PLEASURES I get in Life is carrying a Bearbrick or two, wherever I go -- and taking their photos.... youcan just IMAGINE the reactions I get from onlookers.... most of the Adults gives me the"He's Strange" look... while the kiddies wanna come up and play.... LOL...

Still, I do not mind.. am actually use to is all by now.... and I still enjoy it.. so on with the fun... sharing a few of my recent Bearbrick shots....
