...lightening up the load....

Sad to report, yesterday, I posted my last photo for 365 project...  not because I am tired of the project - I LOVE 365!  the year and some days I spent were, for the most part: fun, challenging, and enjoyable.  As  I always enjoy toting the camera around, it was a great release, great place, to POST and SHARE some of my shots....  what I find interesting, different, beautiful - and in my very own perspective....  it has been great getting feedback from other snappers around the world - both professionals and amateurs, like me....  Over the period, I have met quite a few WONDERFUL PEOPLE - whose TALENTS and PHOTOS INSPIRED ME and put me in AWE....  made me do more, experiment more, and see more things differently.....  These people will be SURELY MISSED!

But true to the saying, all good things must come to an end....  permanently or temporarily, the end for 365 project and I have come....  with all that has been going on with my life, it has become too much to keep up with the project.... I always find myself lagging, frustrated and trying to catch up...  not just with my own photo entries each and every day - but with catching up on other people's work...  I have less and less time looking and admiring their work - much more commenting on most....  and this makes me SAD... and yes, the person that I am, GUILTY....   Guilty of not doing my share, my part....  so for this, I must make the hard choice of leaving the community - till I find my time permits me to do so once more....  more freely and can stay current with all....  with less pressures and less frustrations - as I must TRULY SAVE MY ENERGY....  and STOP FEELING LIKE AM RUNNING ON EMPTY - which I have been the last few months....

I am NO SUPERMAN, or SUPER RUDI, AFTER ALL.... :(

and NEEDLESS to say, I would have HATED ENDING UP FEELING SOUR with the whole project....  it is BEST to leave when am HAPPY and with HAPPY THOUGHTS for the community....

So with 365 Project, I start my journey into streamlining my life... lightening up my load...  and hopefully, finding my way back to a more relaxed...   less stressful daily life....

Happy 1st of March All!!!

Another new month, another 1st day almost over with.... today was such a busy day with work and such, i did not have much time to do anything... not even to go around and look for something to capture for my 365 Project's day entry... heck, I even forgotten about it for most of the day... not till I was already frustrated from the day's work, and took a little walk just to get my mind off things for a bit, that I remembered... and am sure glad I did, go for a walk that is... seeing the sights of this Blossom tree just put me in a better mood....
And then a stopover Jewel's place to sit for her for a couple of hours, as Wu Papa had to see a doctor, was just what was needed.... Jewel turns 5 months in a few days... and she is just getting bigger and wiser.... She gets moody and boy, does show her feelings - be is Happy or Sad or Mad.... she does not Hold back... hahahahahaha.... But for the most part, she is a Happy Kid... with a bit of mischief in her eyes...as you can see in this shot I took this afternoon...All in all, though frustrating work day, it was a nice day....

Happy Thanksgiving All!!!

a contact on 365project posted this and I thought it needs sharing:

"people who study positive psychology (yes, there is such a thing) have provided some pretty solid research indicating that people who practice expressing gratitude on a regular basis are far more likely to be happy and healthy than those who don't."

Makes sense to me, really, but SADLY, it is something that is often forgotten. We are reminded of course, over Holidays such as Thanksgiving and soon to come, XMas.... but we need not wait for these moments -- we ought to always give Thanks where it's due... So here, I give mine:

Thank You All for the Love, the Friendships, the Support, and making my days worth living... for continually inspiring me to strive harder, no matter how, at times, things really seem hopeless...

Music To My Ears...

Winding down my Sunday nite.... finished, pretty much all I needed to do... will go to bed soon as I have to wake up early tomorrow and still get ready for my flight... Just had to check emails... and as always, before turning in for the nite, check my 365 Project...

So very happy I did as I received such a nice comment/note - from one of my contacts...

=====================================
Rudi, you always surprise us with these wonderful finds! You have a great eye and it inspires me to be more aware of what's happening around me, thank you! :)

...and for her to comment this on a photo (posted on November 13th) that I am actually quite HAPPY and PROUD of taking and finding - but sadly, did not get a lot of views - was just a wonderful feeling to end my nite... now I have a biiig smile on my face....

Water Torture...

This week, over on my 365 Project, I have been having a torturous time with the week's theme - WATER! It is kinda' weird as I love Water... I love swimming.... and I love the rain... even running in the rain.... but somehow it was a bit tough for me to come up with a NIFTY water theme shot.... boo hoo....

I wanted to stray away from the usual Rain shot: flowers or leaves with raindrops.... the wet pavement... or rain on car windshields and what not.... so I really decided that I was just not going to do this week's theme -- but somehow I did find a couple of interesting things to share - a cool water pool... and an very exotic looking fish.... I like them both so much I just have to share them here, too...

Water: Basic Neccessity (Last Entry for This Week's Theme)

For such a basic necessity of life, water sure can be a natural resource that many of us take for granted. We often think/feel that since we live in a favorable climate area where it is abundant most of the year, that when it falls out of the sky regularly, it should, therefore, be free. In many developing countries, however, a limited access to potable water remains a serious health threat.

And unfortunately, we MUST also take HEED that all that is rapidly changing... Due to pollution, corruption, inefficiency and the never ending greed of the global elite.... hence, the entire world is heading for a very serious water shortage.

...World Peace For Sale...

once again it was a rainy afternoon... so I was not able to go to the place I wanted to go and shoot some photos for this week's PEACE theme over at 365 Project.... so later in the evening, when the rain let up a bit, i took a walk around to see if something can catch my eyes that fits this week's theme... and this is what I saw.... and immediately, the thoughts below is what came to mind.... so am sharing here, too..

=================================

we do not have to look hard enough to be able to find World Peace being advocated everywhere/anywhere and just about everything... We see it in greeting cards... in commercials.... We hear politicians & beauty queens promising/hoping/praying for it... we see it in movies, televisions & books.... and we can even buy it through Licensed Products of all sorts - such as these little Gaspard et Lisa note books....

With all these being infused, one way or another, in our minds, thoughts & senses - isn't it, still a wonder why we cannot truly attain World Peace???

If only it was as simple as buying a notebook such as this...

NOTE: Photo taken earlier tonite at a Stationary shop...

my, my, my beautiful sunday....

Another end of the week is upon us.... with all the threats of TYPHOONS coming our way - so far sooo good.... heavy afternoon and early evening rain fall but not non-stop.... so we have been blessed and lucky so far.... here's hoping it is the same the world over.... and as a BONUS, the sun still manages to come out each and every morning... so am able to start the day smiling - smiling as bright as the shining sun and crispy blue skies...

...as beautiful as what I was able to capture here on this latest entry of mine to the ongoing 365 Project - which am finishing my 3rd week btw.... 3 weeks into it and am loving it still... no matter how trying it gets at times to come up with the perfect shot - perfect enough for for me... and as an added pressure - hoping it is perfect enough for all others viewing them, too...well, in any case, am enjoying the challenge - so full steam ahead...

The photo was taken a block away from our home... by the entrance of Dajia River park where I run.... armed with my morning coffee - be it iced (such as this one in the photo or my regular freshly brewed one) - i can admire the view from here... 4 different and distinct bridges, a variety of flowers in bloom and of course, Taipei 101... so what else can one ask for???
BTW, such in beautiful mornings like these - you will probably hear me singing/humming/ or something like it, the song "Who Will Buy?" from the musical OLIVER...

...not the whole song, mind you... just Oliver's part... especially the lyrics:
"Who will buy
This wonderful morning?
Such a sky
You never did see!

Who will tie
It up with a ribbon
And put it in a box for me?"

...put it in a box for me, indeed!!!

tEmPtAtIoN

The subject of my newest 365 Project entry: Temptation... we see it in all walks of life.... in our everyday life.... On TV, the Billboard ads, the malls, the streets - just about anywhere and everywhere really....

They can be in the form of something sweet - that is bad for our figures, much more to our healths....; they can be in the form of a magazine or billboard ad - enticing us to buy something we really do not need.... and at times looks much better on the ads than on us...; or simply, just a passer by that gives you the "eye/the look" - that if given "the look", as well - could turn into something more... for good or for worse....

So each day is a bit of a struggle with temptations... how to avoid them... how to deal with them.... Really NO ESCAPING them... the TRICK is to figure out how to give in without overdoing so.... as we all know: "Too Much of Anything Could Be BAD For You!"

BLOOM

for my 2nd day with the 365 Project - I entered this photo of the flowers that blooms in my front garden once a year - during the summer.... though I never knew what it is called - I have come to LOVE IT and always delights and look forward to its' appearance...

The photo also is the inspiration for this entry's 7 Quotes...

====================================
As long as we are persistence in our pursuit of our deepest destiny, we will continue to grow. We cannot choose the day or time when we will fully bloom. It happens in its own time.
-Denis Waitley

If your heart is a volcano, how shall you expect flowers to bloom?
-Kahlil Gibran

Let a hundred flowers bloom, let a hundred schools of thought contend.
-Mao Tse-Tung

May my soul bloom in love for all existence.
-Rudolf Steiner

People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?
-Nhat Hanh

The gracious, eternal God permits the spirit to green and bloom and to bring forth the most marvelous fruit, surpassing anything a tongue can express and a heart conceive.
-Johannes Tauler

There are souls which fall from heaven like flowers, but ere they bloom are crushed under the foul tread of some brutal hoof.
-Jean Paul

365 Project: A New Creative Outlet

Started a new HOBBY yesterday... well, actually, it is not a HOBBY but an outlet for a couple of my favorite hobbies: Photo Taking & Sharing!!! 365 Project : where one is to COMMIT to a Photo A Day -- for a FULL YEAR!!!

I have known about this for at least a couple of months now... but I have always been intimidated by the COMMITMENT PRESSURE, plus the fact that I never consider myself a photographer... nor think that my photos are never ever any good for people to admire and look at.... and I have seen some of the photo albums there and boy-oh boy, Professional much!!!

But a couple of friends kept encouraging me to do it anyway.... that it would be a FUN & CREATIVE project to do... and another outlet for me to share all the things I love.... PLUS I GET TO TAKE & POST PHOTOS OF ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that I Love or Speaks to me.... so how could I say NO to that....

So please, let me introduce to you all RudiT's 365 Project - am on Day 2 today with 4 followers.... so why not join in on the FUN - if I can do it, you can, too..... and be sure to Follow Me, too... Thanks In Advance!!!
