Cannot believe I have been so behind in photographing and sharing my latest acquisitions of Premium Toys.... Vinyl toys that are FAVEs of mine from McDonalds & Mister Donut... so here goes:
Mister Donut's Premium to welcome the New Year... the shops mascot sits atop the Fortune Boat, that doubles as a candy container.
These guys came out a few months back to benefit the Ronald McDonalds House Foundation... Set of 4. (Thanks Sue & Juliana!!!)
Not sure when this Jungle Book Premium was issued - came across this at one of the Toy Shops I frequent... MOWGLI - gottat have!!!
Because of the AD i spotted on the buses of Taipei, last nite I was up Googling Anthony Neely once more... and found these few TV adverts he has been doing...LOL, I gotta get cable - am missing out... Hahahahahahaha...

Juliana gave me this really cute McDonald's Premium Vinyl Toys, last Monday nite.... Have not been to McDonald
's lately so I did not know anything about it..... It is an articulated Bear dressed up like Ronald McDonald.... total cuteness!!! Issued to benefit the Ronald McDonald House, an org established to help kids all over the world.
Not sure where else these cuties are available - but if any of you out there knows - pls HOOK ME UP!!!!
Today marks the 112th Anniversary of The Republic of the Philippines Independence... so MABUHAY to all Filipinos all over the world....

and the other BIG thing going on, as if we all do not know is FIFA - currently happening in South Africa... and with that comes one of my FAVE things: product sponsorships... so many things bearing the FIFA logos, mascots and participating teams' emblems... they have been turning up here and there - in clothing (PUMA, Adidas, Fred Perry), bags, drinks (Coca Cola & Heineken), Premiums (McDonald's in particular) and of course, toys.... my FAVE one so far being the colors of the South African flag representing the FLAG series in Bearbrick Series 20 collection - see photo below...
and speaking of Bearbricks, the new set Captain Kirk & Lt.Uhura have just been released, too... they will look good next to my Spock one, for sure!!!
Been so busy the last couple of months am sooooo behind even on one of my most FAVE pastimes in Taiwan - Collecting Premium Toys... and boy, oh boy, a fine time to behind., too... so many cool stuff have been put on the market since the beginning of May.... am not quite sure what is what yet.... so I have just been taking photos of the posters and the displays as I happen upon them.... so far here are the ones from 7-11, Family Mart & McDonalds...
...set in the classroom world of Maruko-chan... each of the premium vinyl toys is set on a school desk diorama that doubles for real working, useful things such as scissors, staplers, tape dispenser, hole puncher, etc.. So far I have this one to start of the collection... it doubles as a stapler...
Family Mart has the local PILI characters for their current Premium program...
and the latest SHREK Movie is the subject of McDonald's latest Happy Meal Toys....
Though we try not to eat as much JUNK FOOD - now and again something just catches our eyes.... just like this new AD from McDonalds... nope not the HUNKY Popular Taiwan Soap Opera Star, but actually the new Burger offering - with QUADRUPLE MEAT!!
For NT$140 - you get this Tasty Burger with 4 X the meat patty & the works (veggies & sauce); Large Fries & a Super Large Drink -- We just had to try it.... and as an added BONUS for a Limited time offer, with each meal set order - you get a FREE Coke Contour Glass, available in Blue, Green, lime, Pink, Purple... so how can you top that... so far we have the Blue, Pink, Purple & Green versions -- so you know, we have tried this new offering not just once, but actually a few times.... and We're Lovin' It!!!
Just as when I was enjoying the SPRING like weather we had been having, the Season's a changing again in Taipei - it is HOT, HOT, HOT! As if SUMMER is already threatening to come sooner than expected...
The trip to church today was a trying one - with the sun shining brightly and the heat piercing through the clothing... even through my jeans... boo hoo...
So once again, we have to wait for the sun to set before going for a run by the river.... the POOL where we swim will start looking like a PUBLIC POOL from HELL - with way too many kids taking up lanes for swimming classes and just goofing around -escaping the summer heat... and errands will need to be run at nite as going out during the day will just be way too draining and frustrating - with the sun heating up the pavements, as well as everything else....

What put me i a GREAT MOOD though are these two other cuties I got from the gals last nite.... tokidoki mimobot, my belated XMAS present from Sue & Cecilia...
Plus the figure am missing from the MARUKO-chan Premium program by McDonalds back in December of last year... Juliana got me this a while back and somehow we both have forgotten... now my set is COMPLETE!!!!
During Xiao Pang's last visit in Taipei, they happen to take him to McDonald's for dinner - and he bought one of the PREMIUM Toys McDonald's, Taiwan is offering right now for the Holidays -- Chibi Maruko-Chan, from a popular Japanese Animated Series. I got to see it when we joined them for a nite out and of course, liked it a whole lot right away...
The day after, during a coffee get together with Juliana on the 9th, she had McDonald's for lunch so i was able to get the Premiums for myself... there are 6 different offerings in the set... alas, as always, am missing one to complete the set....
Not sure how long the campaign is gonna go on for - I am determined to complete this set before XMas!!!
